Veneers In Cebu

What are they?

Veneers are custom-made covers that are attached to the front of teeth to improve their appearance. They can be used to correct various cosmetic issues, such as:

  • Stained or discolored teeth that don’t respond to whitening treatments
  • Gaps or spaces between teeth
  • Slightly crooked or damaged teeth

Veneers are made to mimic the natural look and feel of our teeth. Some types are also resistant to stains and decay. With proper care, they can last anywhere from 10 to 20 years or slightly more.

The different materials

There are many different types of veneers available at our clinic in Talisay, Cebu. Each one has its own advantages and disadvantages. Some of the most common types are:

Composite Veneers

This is an affordable type of veneer that is composed of resin. Composite veneers are generally shaped freehand by a dentist. They typically only last for a couple of years before they need to be replaced. But the total lifespan of your composite veneers may be different depending on your case and lifestyle.

Ceramage Veneers

This is a type of ceramic veneer that is known for its strength and durability. They have a natural-looking translucency and color that can match the surrounding teeth.

Emax Veneers

This is a type of all-ceramic veneer that is made from a high-strength glass-ceramic material. Emax veneers look extremely close to natural teeth as their composition makes them have a similar translucency and color to our enamel. Emax veneers are also very durable and can last for many years.

Zirconia Veneers

This is another type of all-ceramic veneer that is made from zirconium oxide, a metal-free material that has excellent strength and durability. Zirconia veneers also appear almost identical to our natural teeth. Because of their high opacity and great color, zirconia veneers are fantastic for covering any tooth discoloration present.

The process

The process of getting your veneers can take as little as one or two visits to our clinic in Talisay, Cebu. Here’s what you can expect:

First visit: During your visit, we’ll discuss your goals and expectations. Then we’ll examine your teeth and determine if you are a good candidate for veneers. If you are a good candidate, we’ll also be taking moulds and noting the natural color and shape of your teeth. After your visit, your mould is sent to a dental laboratory for the fabrication of your veneers (depending on your chosen material).

Second visit: Once your veneers have arrived from the dental laboratory, you’ll be scheduled for an appointment to check the fit and appearance of your veneers. If everything is good, we can then bond your new veneers to your teeth immediately!

Is it right for me?

Getting veneers in Cebu is a simple and painless procedure that can transform your smile in as little as one or two visits. However, depending on your personal case, irreversible tooth alteration may be necessary before you can get veneers. Additional visits may also be needed if your veneers require adjustments until you’re satisfied with how they look and feel.

Though veneers are great for quickly changing the appearance of teeth, they are not suitable for everyone. You may not be a good candidate for porcelain veneers if you have:

  • Severe tooth decay or gum disease that needs treatment first
  • Insufficient enamel to support the veneers
  • Bruxism (teeth grinding) or clenching habits that can damage the veneers
  • Large fillings or crowns on your front teeth that may interfere with the placement of the veneers

If you’ve thought about getting veneers, it’s best to consult our doctor in office to understand your options.

How much does it cost?

Based on these factors, a veneer can range from ₱4,000-30,000 ($70-530) per tooth or more. But the actual cost may greatly vary depending on your specific situation and needs.
